MONARCA’S AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE
BAR & GRILL
IS NOW OPEN IN CAPE CORAL
Something different is certainly here in the city of Cape Coral. On July 15th, 2013 the decision was made to renovate the building at the corner of Del Prado and SE 46th St. where Jimbo’s, Cape Coral’s oldest restaurant sat for 35 years.
Monarca’s is now approaching the last phase of the renovation process. The renovations focused on the interior of the building at this time. The process has been slow, since the owners wished to open sooner, but at the same time encouraging. Monarca’s owners saw it proper to make significant improvements to better serve their future customers. Monarca’s owners wish to thank the City of Cape Coral, its officers and inspectors for its valued assistance in expediting the permitting/inspections process.
One of the very attractive features of the location is the waterfront outdoor patio. Monarca’s is the only waterfront restaurant in the downtown area. They see great potential in using the waterside, outdoor spaces and is in their plans to add an outdoor tiki bar and seating area for the enjoyment of their guests in the near future.
The interior will feature a fully equipped bar where Monarca’s will offer many of the traditional beers from Mexico both bottled and on tap and many of the Mexican Tequila brands. The bar will offer an extensive list of liquors and wine and of course all kinds of Margaritas and other tropical drinks in all sorts of shapes and sizes. For the enjoyment of their guests, the interior spaces will be dressed in rich wood decorations. The owners of Monarca’s boast a reputation as fine furniture makers in Mexico. The dining tables, chairs and booths feature fine wood carvings and are waiting to be installed. The front of the bar and entrance will be clad in stone. The back of the bar will a display made out of fine wood, elegant molding and cornices and led lighting.
Monarca’s owners hail from the Michoacan and Jalisco region in Mexico, a region very rich in tradition and culture. The region is known for its vast plantations of the Agave plant which is where Tequila is made from. The best Tequila in Mexico comes from that area. The Monarch butterfly makes its yearly summer home in the Michoacan area as they migrate thousands of miles from the country of Canada. The name Monarca’s has its origin on the Monarch Butterfly. The word Monarch is a synonym of the word king or royalty.
The states of Michoacan and Jalisco are also well known for their rich gastronomy. Monarca’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill will be proud to present its fine customers the very best of those tasty dishes. The menu will feature succulent appetizers, in house made tortillas and chips, in house made salsas and pico de gallo, table-side guacamole, carne asada and of course our freshly made fish or shrimp ceviche and cocktail.
Monarca’s Authentic Mexican Cuisine Bar & Grill is now open. The owners of Monarca’s restaurant wish to have all the support of the people of Cape Coral and surrounding areas. Monarca’s Restaurant wishes to become a source of pride in Cape Coral where individuals and families come to eat, drink and enjoy like Real Monarchs.
